Does this product contain melatonin?
No.
How does it work?
The herbal ingredients in Quality Sleep Nerve Support work together—or synergistically—to enhance their relaxing effects. For example, valerian for deep relaxation, while lemon balm and chamomile work well together to manage stress-related sleep disturbances.
Valerian Root is one of the most studied herbs for sleep, it helps reduce sleep latency and improves sleep quality.
The combination of magnesium bisglycinate and B- vitamins (particularly B6) is also highly regarded for supporting sleep and nerve relaxation. Magnesium bisglycinate works not only through the magnesium but also via the 2 glycine molecules that is it bound to. The glycine component provides calming properties to the brain, complementing the effect of magnesium which is commonly known as a "relaxation mineral" that aids sleep and eases muscles. B vitamins, specifically B6, help with neurotransmitter production, which in turn improves sleep quality and reduces muscle tension.
Does this product work immediately (within hours) or over time (within weeks of regular intake) ?
Most herbal ingredients in Quality Sleep generally have mild effectiveness within 30 minutes to two hours via GABA neurotransmitter pathways. However, when taken consistently for 1 to 2 weeks it works most effectively. It works best as a long-term, cumulative aid for insomnia rather than an instant, one-time fix like synthetic sedatives. Therefore, incorporating these herbals regularly will help establish a healthy sleep routine.
Does this product create dependencies?
No. The ingredients in Quality Sleep are not known to create any dependencies at the recommended dosages .
Unlike benzodiazepines (such as Valium), which bind directly to GABA receptors, the plant ingredient’s mechanism is different and does not create the same risk of addiction or physiological dependency.
Can I combine this supplement with another
melatonin product?
It is not recommended to take
Quality Sleep with other sedative products as the effects can be accumulative
but you can talk to your doctor or pharmacist about it.
I’ve been taking three tablets per day as
directed for a few days now but my sleep did not improve, why?
Sleep quality can be affected by several
factors (hormones, shift work, stressful times, anxiety etc, alcohol,
medication). Quality Sleep will not address all of these problems to help with
better sleep. Quality Sleep helps with its calmative relaxing effects which is
conductive to fall asleep more easily.
It is possible that the Quality Sleep does
not address the underlying cause of your insomnia / sleep quality problems, if
after a month of use (1 box) there is absolutely no effect.
